Columbus AFB, Mississippi- Image Upgrade w/New Express & Fuel

Background
The Army and Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) is issuing this contract for the Image Upgrade with New Express and Fuel at Columbus Air Force Base (AFB) in Mississippi. The goal of the contract is to renovate the existing Exchange facility, enhancing its functionality and aesthetics to better serve the military community.

Work Details
The project involves a 29,959 square foot construction project that includes:
- Phased selective demolition and renovation of Exchange Building 160.
- Construction of a new Express facility featuring snack avenues, Class Six, Hunt Brothers Pizza, and CHOPZ within the existing mall.
- Construction of a new fuel station in front of the Exchange.
- Reworking and updating both interior and exterior finishes.
- Relocation of existing restrooms.
- Repairing existing exterior floors to address subsidence issues.
- Demolition of the existing fuel station.

Specific tasks include:
1. Site-related elements such as erosion control, asphalt paving, excavation for storm sewer structures, and installation of a new monument sign.
2. Roof-related elements including installation of a TPO roofing system and structural components for new canopies.
3. Exterior building elements including lighting fixtures, signage, automatic entry doors, and wall-mounted electrical systems.
4. Interior demolition for incorporation of Express functions including electrical systems, HVAC components, plumbing fixtures, flooring finishes, and drywall partitions.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for this contract will span several months as determined by the phased approach to construction.

The construction will take place at Columbus AFB, specifically at Building 160 located on Simler Boulevard.
