Cold Brook and Cottonwood Springs Road Maintenance Single Award Task Order Contract (SATOC)   2

Background
The Cold Brook and Cottonwood Springs Road Maintenance Single Award Task Order Contract (SATOC) is issued by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The mission of this contract is to provide road rehabilitation services at Cold Brook Dam and Cottonwood Dam in South Dakota, with a total contract capacity of $1.2 million over a five-year period. This contract aims to ensure the maintenance and improvement of road infrastructure critical for operational efficiency.

Work Details
The work under this contract includes various construction tasks related to road rehabilitation, such as:
- Common Excavation (100-500 CY and over 500 CY)
- Borrow Material Supplied in Place
- Geotextile Fabric Installation
- Cold Milling of Bituminous Pavement (2" and 4" mill salvage & stockpile)
- Crack Sealing for asphalt surfaces
- Aggregate Base Course installation (stockpiled and supplied in place)
- Road Grading
- Dust Control Chlorides application
- Bituminous Surface Treatment
- Hot Mix Asphalt paving (for gravel surfaces and overlays)
- Concrete work including sidewalks, curb & gutter installation, and rebar placement
- Pavement markings including shoulder striping, centerline striping, and handicap symbols
- Seeding and erosion blanket installation for landscape restoration
- Installation of storm drainage piping with various specifications (18" and 24" CMP)
- Vehicle crash barriers installation including MGS guardrail and cable guardrail.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a five-year ordering period, starting from the date of award.

Place of Performance
The construction projects will be performed at Cold Brook Dam and Cottonwood Dam located in South Dakota.
