Coeur d Alene Nursery Siding   2

Background
The US Department of Agriculture (USDA) is soliciting for siding installation on several buildings at the Coeur d Alene Nursery in Idaho. The scope of work includes replacing T1-11 siding with vertical metal siding in a Board and Batton Pattern on the S and W sides of buildings 2240 and 2830, as well as all four sides of Building 2136. The reason for the replacement is that the existing siding is cracked, delaminating, and no longer holding paint. The solicitation also specifies that the contractor must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience with installing metal siding.

Work Details
The technical requirements include removing and replacing the siding on buildings 2136, 2240, and 2830 with vertical metal siding. Specific tasks for each building are detailed, such as removing existing wood siding, attaching a weather-resistive barrier to the new sheathing prior to installing the vertical metal siding, and installing all metal trim, j-channels, and seals around doors, windows, and other openings. Additionally, there are requirements for specific materials such as 26-gauge metal and color specifications for each building. The contractor is responsible for removal of all construction debris from the job site.

The work must be completed by 9/30/2024.

The construction projects will be performed at Coeur d Alene Nursery in Idaho.
