Coastal Erosion Protection at Utqiagvik, Alaska

Background
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Alaska District, is conducting an Industry Day to improve Industry's understanding of USACE's Barrow Alaska Coastal Erosion project. The goal of this industry day is to familiarize the industry with the requirements at Utqiagvik, Alaska and receive feedback from industry.

Work Details
The project involves the construction of a 18 to 20 ft above MLLW coastal revetment along the coastal bluff, later task order(s) along the berm and raised Stevenson St sections. The initial task order includes the removal of existing shore protection (super sacks, concrete matting, gabion baskets), construction of approximately 3/4 Mile of four layer well keyed coastal revetment with ~2.7-ton armor stone, and production and transport of rock for later portions to Utqiagvik. Future task orders under the SATOC will discuss the Berm and Raised Stevenson Street portions.
