Background
The Clinton River Maintenance Dredging and Confined Disposal Facility (CDF) Maintenance contract is issued by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). The mission of this contract is to ensure the maintenance and operational integrity of the Clinton River, specifically focusing on dredging activities and the management of dredged materials at the CDF. The goal is to enhance navigational safety and environmental compliance in the river system.

Work Details
The contractor is required to mobilize a dredge to the Clinton River, Michigan, and perform dredging in the turning basin and federal navigational channel as per provided plans. Key tasks include:
- Dredging operations with specific quantities outlined for both base bid and options.
- Placement of dredged material at the Clinton River Confined Disposal Facility (CDF).
- Conducting a survey of the CDF prior to placement operations.
- Performing maintenance operations at the CDF, which includes vegetation clearing inside the dike roads, rehabilitation of dike roads and ramps, and stone placement as specified in project plans.
- Options for additional work include further dredging in designated areas, vegetation clearing outside dike roads, and weir stoplog replacement and inspection.
- Demobilization upon completion of all tasks.
