Cinnabar Boat Ramp Construction

Background
The purpose of this contract is to provide construction of a new boat ramp and relocation of a vault toilet structure at the Cinnabar Public Access Site on the Yellowstone River. The project is located in Custer Gallatin National Forest, Gardiner Ranger District, 8 miles Northwest of Gardiner, MT on the shore of Yellowstone River at the Cinnabar Access Site. The location can be accessed by turning Southwest off US HWY 89 S onto Cinnabar Basin Road and taking a left onto Old Yellowstone Trail South Road.

Work Details
The construction tasks include clearing and grubbing trees and shrubs, preparing subgrade for new ramp, geotextile, aggregate base fill and grading, riprap armoring edges of ramp, concrete ramp and associated prep and cleanup work for the boat ramp. For the toilet relocation, it includes excavation of the original toilet house and vault, moving of structures to a new location, toilet and vault prep work, and other related site work. Additionally, there are optional tasks such as parking lot expansion and installation of a reinforced concrete boat ramp. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, and supplies required to complete the project as shown in the plans, drawings, supplemental specifications, and Statement of Work.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for this contract is from April 1 to May 1. The work is desired to be completed in this time frame to minimize dewatering efforts before water levels peak in late May.

The project is located in Custer Gallatin National Forest, Gardiner Ranger District. The Site is located 8 miles Northwest of Gardiner, MT on the shore of Yellowstone River at the Cinnabar Access Site.
