CHS - Access Control System

Background
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) is seeking a contractor to replace and install the physical access control system (PACS) at the Hollings Marine Laboratory located in Charleston, SC. This initiative aims to enhance security measures for visitors and employees by implementing improved electronic access control in compliance with federal mandates such as Homeland Security Presidential Directive 12 (HSPD-12).

The contract will ensure that the new system meets specific technical specifications for secure identification of federal employees and contractors.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:
1. Replacement and installation of the Hollings Marine Laboratory physical access control system (ePACS).
2. Integration of the PACS with the NOAA Enterprise Physical Access Control System (ePACS), specifically utilizing a SoftwareHouse CCure 9000 system.
3. Obtaining and installing all necessary component parts for the PACS.
4. Providing on-site technical support for initial power-up, programming, and integration with the NOAA ePACS system.

The system must comply with HSPD-12 & FIPS standards, ensuring it is suitable for use with PIV, PIV-II, TWIC, and CAC cards.

Period of Performance
