Choh FY26 Replace HVAC - Georgetown VC   2

Background
The National Park Service (NPS) is issuing this solicitation for the complete replacement of the HVAC system at the Georgetown Visitor Center, located in the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal National Historical Park in Washington, DC.

This project aims to restore and enhance the functionality of a nationally listed historic structure while adhering to cultural resource protection conditions.

Work Details
The work includes demolition and removal of the existing HVAC system, furnishing and installation of a complete replacement system, associated electrical and controls work, contractor design and load calculations, testing, and restoration of finishes.

The existing ductwork will be retained, cleaned, and reused. The contractor is responsible for field verification of existing conditions and must design, size, and select all replacement equipment based on their own load calculations. The design must comply with ASHRAE standards and federal energy-efficiency standards.

Period of Performance
The contractor shall begin performance within 10 calendar days after receiving the award and must complete all work within 335 calendar days after receiving the Notice to Proceed.

Place of Performance
Georgetown Visitor Center, Chesapeake and Ohio Canal National Historical Park, Washington, DC.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be licensed contractors capable of performing construction. They are required to furnish performance and payment bonds within 10 calendar days after award. This opportunity is set aside for small businesses.
