CHIPPEWA National Forest - Janitorial Services - Deer River RD

Background
The Chippewa National Forest, managed by the U.S. Forest Service, has a requirement for janitorial services at their Deer River Ranger District. The primary goal of this contract is to maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the facilities used by staff and visitors, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment.

The services will be provided at the Deer River Ranger Station, which accommodates a varying number of personnel depending on the season.

Work Details
The contractor will provide comprehensive janitorial services at the Deer River Ranger Station, which includes:
- Cleaning the kitchen area: Scrubbing stainless steel sinks, sanitizing surfaces with disinfectant, vacuuming and mopping floors, cleaning all kitchen appliances and countertops.
- Maintaining restrooms and showers: Sweeping or vacuuming floors, cleaning sinks, toilets, urinals, stall partitions, mirrors, and all surfaces with disinfectant. Refilling soap and paper supplies as needed.
- Cleaning public and office areas: Dusting surfaces including tables and file cabinets, cleaning glass windows on entry doors and interior windows, vacuuming carpeted areas including stairs and basement landings.

The office will be cleaned twice weekly as arranged with the Forest Service representative.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a period that includes an initial term with options for extension up to 5 years and 6 months total duration.

Place of Performance
The primary location for performance is the Chippewa National Forest Deer River Ranger District located at 1235 Division Street, Deer River, MN 56636. A secondary location (Cut Foot Residence) approximately 20 miles northwest of the district ranger office will require cleaning twice yearly.
