Background
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers - New England District is issuing a Solicitation Notice for Chemical Vegetation Control Services at Barre Falls Dam, located in Barre, Hubbardston, and Oakham, Massachusetts.

The mission of the Corps is to provide vital public engineering services in peace and war to strengthen the nation's security, energize the economy, and reduce risks from disasters. The goal of this contract is to manage and control invasive vegetation in designated areas to ensure the integrity of the dam infrastructure and surrounding environment.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all materials, labor, and equipment necessary to complete the following tasks:

1. Spray chemical treatment on woody vegetation in the spillway area/channel.
2. Spray woody vegetation at the spillway and on a small roadway dike by the picnic area.
3. Spot spray chemical treatment to control invasive plants along roadsides and wood lines, targeting species such as Bittersweet, Multiflora rose, poison ivy, autumn olive, Buckthorn, and other non-native species.
4. Apply chemical treatment in specific areas of concern:
i) Coldbrook Roadsides near Overlook Parking Lot (autumn olive and buckthorn),
ii) Project Office area (poison ivy),
iii) Route 122/Caldwell Road area (poison ivy and knotweed).

Period of Performance
The contract period of performance shall commence upon contract award and continue through no later than November 15, 2024. Initial chemical treatments must be completed by October 1, 2024.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at Barre Falls Dam located at 200 Coldbrook Road in Barre, Massachusetts.
