located in the Cincinnati metropolitan area and Ada, OK
Background
The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is seeking technical assistance on the use of high entropy alloys (HEAs) in future nuclear applications. This initiative aims to prepare for licensing advanced alloys and ensuring regulatory infrastructure for public health and safety.

Work Details
The contractor will document the state of the art of HEAs and assess available information and data on HEAs suited for nuclear applications. Additional tasks include estimating commercialization viability and timeframe, identifying technical gaps, and supporting a seminar for NRC staff.

Specific tasks include reviewing current HEA development and application, addressing effects of irradiation and corrosion, identifying knowledge gaps, recommending research activities, and developing presentation materials.

Period of Performance
This contract shall commence on Day of Award and will expire 9 months thereafter.
