Change MB-8 to Dual Primary Configuration   2

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), NAS Patuxent River, MD, has awarded N00019-18-C-1028 P00022 to Northrop Grumman Corporation (NGC), San Diego, CA, on a sole source basis for an effort to change MQ-4C Triton Unmanned Aircraft (UA) Main Operating Base 8 (MB8) from a primary/secondary configuration to a dual primary configuration and implement the Diminishing Manufacturing Sources (DMS) CRs/ECPs into N00019-18-C-1028.

As the sole designer, developer, manufacturer, and integrator of the MQ-4C Triton UAS, NGSC is the only source that possesses the engineering data, technical skills, and requisite knowledge of the design, fabrication, performance, and operational characteristics of the MQ-4C UAS required to perform the necessary production efforts within the required timeframes and without substantial duplication of costs. No other source has the technical qualifications and necessary resources to perform the work described herein, nor will any other supplies or services satisfy the Government's requirements.
