Description

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) awarded a sole-source Firm Fixed Price (FFP) delivery order to Sikorsky, A Lockheed Martin Company, 6900 Main Street Stratford, CT 06614, for the procurement of resourcing Aft Transition Assembly & Kits in suport of the CH-53K helicopter. The procurement includes the support, development and qualification efforts of suppliers, through prototype buld completions, to produce an deliver the material, services and/or data to Sikorsky in support of production requirments. This requirement was pursued on a sole source basis in accordance with the statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition under Title 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1), as implemented by FAR Part 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Sikorsky is the designer, developer, and sole producer of the CH-53K aircraft and the only known source that possesses the data, technical skills, and requisite knowledge of the design, fabrication, performance, operation, maintenance, and support characteristics of the CH-53K to fulfill this need in a timely manner.
