CH-53K_DDSR_PhaseIII_Option3

The Naval Air System Command awarded a modification to exercise an option to Contract N00019-19-G-0029-N00019-19-F-2972 with Sikorsky Aircraft Corp., a Lockheed Martin Co., Stratford, Connecticut, to procure the necessary components in anticipation of the transfer unit and Defensive Electronic Countermeasure System Replacement Phase III ARC-210 into the CH-53K aircraft, and validation testing of the components and supportability products for the U.S. Navy.. This procurement was procured in accordance with the statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition under 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1(a)(2), in that Sikorsky is the only known source possessing the requisite knowledge, technical expertise, special skills, technical data, facilities, and experience to provide the logistics support on the CH-53K.
