The solicitation is for the CGC West Coast Preservation for select WLB, WLM, WMSL, and WMEC ALEX HALEY. The work involves preservation services for critical-coated surfaces on vessels. Work Details
The scope of work includes surface preparation, preservation operations, tenting, ambient condition control, touch-up preservation, and the provision of an independent NACE-certified level 3 inspector. The contractor is responsible for providing suitable ambient condition control equipment, submitting an ambient condition control plan to the COR before initiating the process, and maintaining daily communication with the contractor and COR to ensure progress and address any deviations from the specification.
Additionally, the contractor must furnish and install all protective coverings to seal off and protect non-affected vessel components, equipment, and spaces near the work area against contamination during the performance of work.
