Cgc Shackle Drydock Repairs

Background
The U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) is seeking contractors to perform dry dock repairs for the Coast Guard Cutter (CGC) SHACKLE (WYTL-65B), a 65-foot Small Harbor Tug currently home ported in South Portland, Maine. The goal of this contract is to ensure the vessel is maintained and repaired to meet operational standards.

Work Details
The scope of work includes a comprehensive list of tasks necessary for the maintenance and repair of the CGC SHACKLE. Key tasks include:

- Fire Prevention Requirements
- Inspection and ultrasonic testing of hull plating
- Preservation of underwater body and freeboard
- Renewal and repair of hull and structural plating
- Inspection, renewal, and alignment checks of propulsion shafting
- Cleaning and inspecting tanks and propellers
- Maintenance on keel coolers, fathometer transducers, sea valves, sea strainers, rudder assemblies, and cathodic protection systems
- Various repairs to the superstructure and deck areas.

Additional tasks involve lead dust cleaning and partial abatement of lead-based paint and asbestos-containing materials.

Period of Performance
The performance period for this contract is from 30 September 2025 to 20 November 2025.

Place of Performance
