Description

The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Animal Health Inspection Serivice is in need of a CFX Opus Deepwell Real-Time PCR System. Questions are due no later than 3:00pm 9/9/25 to the Contracting Officer Kathy Melby at kathleen.melby@usda.gov. Interested parties, please complete and return all 33 pages of the attached 1449 to the Contracting Officer via email.

If interested party's quote package is not completed in accordance with the Notes to Quoters (page 4 of solicitation package), the quote may be considered incomplete for evaluation purposes and no further consideration will be given, thereby making quote ineligable for award.

Background
The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Animal Health Inspection Service (USDA APHIS) is seeking to acquire a replacement CFX Opus Deepwell Real-Time PCR System. This acquisition aims to replace a nonfunctioning unit that is critical for managing scheduling pressures related to Avian Influenza (HPAI).

The goal of the contract is to ensure that the agency can continue its mission of safeguarding animal health and preventing the spread of diseases.

Work Details
The contract involves the delivery of one (1) CFX Opus 96 real-time thermocycler. The technical specifications include:
- Full Color Touch Screen Control for easy access to functions and messages
- Capability to run with or without software
- Ability to multiplex up to 5 different wavelengths
- Compatibility with CFX Maestro software
- Multiple data acquisition modes
- Creation of date and time stamped audit trails.

The system must be delivered within 90 days of the award date.

Period of Performance
Delivery must occur within 90 days from the date of award.

Place of Performance
The product will be delivered to USDA, 1920 Dayton Avenue, Ames, IA 50010.
