The Regional Health Contracting Office-Central, has a requirement to obtain personal services of twenty-four (24) FTEs Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) at the Department of Anesthesiology (DOA), Brooke Army Military Center (BAMC) (Level I Trauma Center), Joint Base-San Antonio, Fort Sam Houston, Texas. A base period of performance of 1 October 2021 - 30 September 2022 plus four (4) twelve-month Option Periods (through 30 September 2026). The Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Clause 52.217-8 Options to Extend Services and 52.217-9 Option to Extend the Term of Contract is part of the resultant contract should the Government need to exercise the option and extend Period of Performance through to 31 March 2027.

Background
The Regional Health Contracting Office-Central has a requirement to obtain personal services of twenty-four (24) FTEs Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) at the Department of Anesthesiology (DOA), Brooke Army Military Center (BAMC) (Level I Trauma Center), Joint Base-San Antonio, Fort Sam Houston, Texas. The contract has a base period of performance from 1 October 2021 to 30 September 2022, with four (4) twelve-month Option Periods available through 30 September 2026.
There is also an option to extend the Period of Performance through to 31 March 2027.

Work Details
The Contractor shall provide services of CRNAs to the DOD's largest medical center consisting of a 429 bed tertiary referral center and a Level 1 Trauma Center with an average case load of 1500 cases per month. The majority of anesthesia services shall be performed in the area of emergent and non-emergent surgical anesthesia. Additionally, the CRNAs shall possess qualifications meeting or exceeding currently recognized national standards as established by the Joint Commission (JC).

Period of Performance
The contract has a base period of performance from 1 October 2021 to 30 September 2022, with four (4) twelve-month Option Periods available through 30 September 2026. There is also an option to extend the Period of Performance through to 31 March 2027.

Place of Performance
The geographic location for performance is at San Antonio DoD Military Treatment Facilities, primarily at San Antonio Military Medical Center, Joint Base San Antonio, Fort Sam Houston, Texas.
