Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) subpart 12.6, Streamlined Procedures for Evaluation and Solicitation for Commercial Items, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation.

The Veterans Affairs West Texas VA Health Care System intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price Service contract for Central Texas Veterans Health Care System (CTVHCS) Ambulance Transportation in accordance with Attachment B- PERFORMANCE WORK STATEMENT (PWS) 36C25725R0077.

This requirement will be competed using a Total Service-Disabled Veterans Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) set-aside. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 621910 Ambulance Services. Small Business size standard $22.5 Million. The PSC is V225 Transpiration/Travel/Relocation-

Background
The Veterans Affairs West Texas VA Health Care System aims to award a Firm-Fixed Price Service contract for Ambulance Transportation services for the Central Texas Veterans Health Care System (CTVHCS). This contract is part of the agency's mission to provide essential healthcare services to veterans, ensuring their safe and timely transportation for medical needs.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide Emergent, non-emergent Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Life Support (ALS), and Critical Care Transport (CCT) ambulance services as needed, adhering to all federal, state, and local regulations. Services include transporting veterans with VA staff and equipment back to the original pick-up location. The contractor may also transport patient luggage, medical records, medication, and comfort items at no additional cost. Contractor personnel must be courteous and professional at all times. The contractor is responsible for ensuring compliance with tuberculosis exposure control policies and providing documentation of TB testing for all personnel.
