Background
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers – Fort Worth is seeking input from qualified, experienced sources for the construction of the first phase of the South Bypass Channel as part of the Modified Central City project in Fort Worth, Texas.

This Request for Information (RFI) is intended for preliminary planning purposes and does not constitute a solicitation for proposals. The goal is to gather knowledge of interest, capabilities, and qualifications from various industry members.

Work Details
The scope of work involves the construction of approximately 4,400 feet long and 250 feet wide bypass channel, which includes a floodwall on the east side (right bank) and an earthen levee on the west side (left bank).

Key project tasks include:
- Construction of a high wall approximately 4,440 feet long (reinforced concrete t-wall supported on steel pipe piles and deep mixing method).
- Construction of a low wall approximately 4,300 feet long (reinforced concrete t-wall supported on deep mixing method).
- Soil excavation for a channel length of approximately 4,400 feet with no rock present.
- Levee construction approximately 3,885 feet long using excavated materials from the channel.

Estimated quantities include:
- 825,000 cubic yards of soil excavation;
- 172,500 cubic yards for levee construction;
- 48,000 cubic yards of structural concrete (excluding paving); and
- approximately 4,000 tons of rebar.

Project challenges include coordinating with multiple stakeholders and performing drilled piers, deep soil mixing, and dewatering efforts in active and congested areas.
