Background
The Army Contracting Command – Rock Island (ACC-RI) is soliciting a requirement for the Unstructured Data Search Enhanced by AI/ML (UD-SEAM) on behalf of the Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office (CDAO).

The CDAO is responsible for accelerating the Department of Defense’s (DoD) adoption of data, analytics, and AI to generate decision advantages across various domains. The contract aims to support the development and deployment of advanced search capabilities within the DoD, leveraging AI and machine learning technologies.

Work Details
The scope of work includes:
- Sustaining and enhancing existing applications such as GAMECHANGER (Policy Search), Contract Search, and JBook Search on the Advana platform.
- Developing YETI, an AI/ML enabled natural language processing API for semantic search, summary generation, FAQ generation, Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), and Generative AI-based queries.
- Ensuring all software products comply with DoD policies regarding data access and security.
- Supporting Agile methodologies in software development while focusing on continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices.
- Engaging in collaborative efforts with various stakeholders to ensure effective integration of AI solutions into existing systems.
- Conducting usability testing and user research to inform design decisions for AI tools.

Place of Performance
The contract work will primarily be performed at locations associated with the Department of Defense, including but not limited to NIPRnet, SIPRnet, and JWICS.
