CBP intends to use a brand-name specification pursuant to FAR 16.505(a)(4) for the procurement of Deep Trekker Brand Submersible Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROV) for the Ports of Jacksonville, FL, Newark, NJ and Miami, FL. CBP intends to award a firm-fixed-price delivery order competed among authorized resellers of Deep Trekker under the NASA SEWP multiple award indefinite-delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract vehicle, TechOps II.

Background
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS), United States Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Office of Acquisition – Procurement Directorate (OA/PD) is issuing a brand-name justification for the procurement of Deep Trekker Brand Submersible Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROV).
This acquisition aims to support trade and law enforcement operations at the Ports of Jacksonville, FL, Newark, NJ, and Miami, FL.
The contract will be awarded under the NASA SEWP multiple award indefinite-delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract vehicle, TechOps II, which provides specialized surveillance equipment to federal law enforcement agencies for investigations and protective missions.

Work Details
CBP requires the following Deep Trekker ROVs:
- Deep Trekker Phonton ROV: Designed for heavy currents with powerful thrusters and high-intensity lighting.
- Deep Trekker Revolution ROV: Similar capabilities as the Phonton for stability in challenging conditions.
- Deep Trekker Pivot ROV: Lightweight and easily deployable, requiring only a 2-person team for operation in environments with negligible current.
The anticipated total cost for these vehicles is $363,476.20.
