Project Description

This project is for the construction of a new three story 8,818 square foot marine support administration building and boat maintenance/storage facility located in Boqueron, Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico to meet the operational needs of the U.S. Customs and Border Protection Office of Air and Marine, agents and staff. The property is located on a parcel of land measuring .27 acres (1062 square meters). This parcel of land has a flat topography and is classified as a flood hazard zone and is protected by a coastal lagoon.

This project also consists of an exterior vehicular parking spaces, emergency generator, water cistern, outdoor lighting, as well as physical security equipment and infrastructure, including but not limited to CCTV, intrusion detection system, perimeter security fencing and secured entry. There will also be a new offsite sanitary sewer system infrastructure installed connecting to existing public utilities which will require demolition, excavation and repair of street right of way.

The operational requirements also include but are not limited to the following spaces:

1. Secure vestibule and lobby entrance

2. Administration and supervisory offices

3. Administration support spaces - break room, conference room, fitness room, mat room, restrooms(including showers and lockers) and mailroom

4. Workstation areas

5. Interview room

6. Marine equipment storage

7. Mechanical and electrical rooms

8. Storage rooms

9. HSDN, LAN, and telecom/demarc rooms

10. Weapons and ammunition storage

11. Garbage station

12. Guard shack

13. Two staircases

14. Elevator
