CBP Design-Build Construction IDIQ   11

Background
The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), under the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), is issuing a Request for Proposals (RFP) to establish multiple Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contracts aimed at designing and constructing CBP facilities across the United States.

The goal of this contract is to address the inadequacies of existing infrastructure that has become insufficient for modern border security operations, which include facilities for the U.S. Border Patrol, Air and Marine Office, and the Office of Field Operations. The infrastructure is often outdated, deteriorating, and unable to support current operational demands.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for a wide range of construction tasks including:
- Turnkey construction services for CBP capital projects, including but not limited to Border Patrol stations, Air and Marine Facilities, and Border Patrol Checkpoints.
- Renovation, repair, maintenance, and new construction of facilities to meet evolving needs while adhering to high standards of quality and efficiency.
- Projects may involve civil, structural, mechanical, electrical work as well as fire protection and communication systems.
- The primary construction delivery method will be Design-Build (DB), but may also include Design-Bid-Build or performance-based methods.
- Major elements may include demolition, historical restoration, building system upgrades, infrastructure systems installation, and site improvements.

Period of Performance
The contract will have a period of performance lasting five years from the date of award.

Place of Performance
Construction projects will take place at various locations throughout the United States and Puerto Rico.
