U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), U.S. Border Patrol, Tucson Sector requires solid waste removal services for Ajo Border Patrol Station and the Ajo State Route 85 Checkpoint located in Why, Arizona, and Ajo, Arizona, respectively.

The overall period of performance includes the following base year and four option years:

Base Year: 02/07/2026-02/06/2027
Option Year 1: 02/07/2027-02/06/2028
Option Year 2: 02/07/2028-02/06/2029
Option Year 3: 02/07/2029-02/06/2030
Option Year 4: 02/07/2030-02/06/2031

This is a Request for Quotations (RFQ) using simplified acquisition procedures under FAR Part 13. This RFQ is issued as a total small business set-aside. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency.

For quotation preparation instructions, see Section V.5, General Instructions for the Preparation and Submission of Quotations (Oct 2008). Quoters are strongly encouraged to review this section carefully.

It is anticipated that award will be made on or about January 23, 2026.

The applicable NAICS code is 562111 - Solid Waste Collection. The corresponding size standard is $47 million. As stated above, the solicitation is set aside for eligible small businesses under this NAICS code.

No sustainable acquisition requirements have been identified.

In order to be considered for award, vendors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) at www.sam.gov prior to the solicitation closing date. Interested vendors not already registered in SAM are strongly encouraged to register as soon as possible.

Background
The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), specifically the U.S. Border Patrol Tucson Sector, is seeking solid waste removal services for the Ajo Border Patrol Station and the Ajo State Route 85 Checkpoint located in Why, Arizona, and Ajo, Arizona.

This contract aims to maintain a clean, healthy, and orderly work environment for personnel assigned to these locations as various administrative duties generate considerable waste.

Work Details
The Contractor shall provide solid waste removal services including:
1. Providing trash collection containers of specified sizes: four 4-yard containers, four 6-yard containers, and seven 35-gallon containers that can close securely to prevent overflow or leakage.
2. Performing weekly trash/waste removal:
- Emptying the trash containers at Ajo Station two times per week (minimum three days apart) and once per week at the Ajo Checkpoint.
- All pickups must occur between 5:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding Federal holidays.
3. Ensuring compliance with safety requirements as directed by on-site Border Patrol personnel.
4. Operating all equipment safely and maintaining it in good condition.
5. Safeguarding public and government property during operations and avoiding interruptions to government operations.

Period of Performance
Base Year: February 7, 2026 - February 6, 2027; Option Year 1: February 7, 2027 - February 6, 2028; Option Year 2: February 7, 2028 - February 6, 2029; Option Year 3: February 7, 2029 - February 6, 2030; Option Year 4: February 7, 2030 - February 6, 2031.
