Description

Background
The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) is hosting a Proposers Day for the Cattle Run program, aimed at enabling cost-effective cislunar constellations through the development and demonstration of autonomous spacecraft utilizing renewable propulsion.

The event will take place on November 10, 2026, at the DARPA Conference Center in Arlington, VA. The purpose of this conference is to provide information about the Cattle Run program, facilitate discussions, address questions from potential proposers, and create opportunities for teaming among participants.

Work Details
The Cattle Run program focuses on developing and demonstrating autonomous spacecraft that leverage renewable propulsion for persistent cislunar access.

Phase 1 involves the rapid development and launch of a Demonstrator spacecraft within 18 months to validate renewable propulsion capabilities for acceleration, vehicle control, and autonomous navigation. The objective is to collect on-orbit data to prove performance metrics related to renewable propulsion. Phase 2 aims to create multiple spacecraft to demonstrate sustained operations in cislunar space.

Place of Performance
DARPA Conference Center, 675 North Randolph Street, Arlington, VA 22203; additional work may occur in cislunar space.

Bidder Requirements
All attendees must be U.S. Citizens; no foreign nationals are permitted. Participants are required to present government-issued photo identification upon entry and submit a U.S. Citizenship Verification form during registration.

Additionally, attendees must meet Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Level 2 requirements and provide their CMMC Unique Identifier (UID) when registering.
PROPOSERS DAY:
DARPA is hosting a Proposers Day in support of DARPA-SN-27-03 Cattle Run program on Tuesday, November 10, 2026, at the DARPA Conference Center (675 North Randolph Street, Arlington, VA 22203) from 8:00am to 5:00pm EST. The purpose of this conference is to provide information on the Cattle Run program; promote additional discussion on this topic; address questions from potential proposers; and provide a forum for potential proposers to meet for teaming opportunities.
PROGRAM OBJECTIVE AND DESCRIPTION:
The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) Cattle Run program enables cost effective cislunar constellations by developing and demonstrating autonomous spacecraft that leverage renewable propulsion [EF1.1]for persistent cislunar access. Phase 1 develops and rapidly launches a[SK2.1] Demonstrator spacecraf[SK3.1]t in 18 months that shows the ability of renewable propulsion to achieve sufficient acceleration, accurate vehicle control, and autonomous navigation necessary for persistent cislunar access. The Phase 1 objective is to collect on-orbit data to prove the performance of the renewable propulsion approach including vehicle control and navigation data. The Demonstrator spacecraft is launched below GEO and is agnostic of formfactor. Phase 2 creates multiple spacecraft and demonstrates persistent cislunar access.
