The goal of the contract is to support the Catholic Chaplain/Priest in delivering religious education opportunities to the Catholic community at the base. Work Details
The Contractor will be responsible for coordinating all Catholic religious education programs and events, including but not limited to:
- Rite of Christian Initiation Adult (RCIA)
- Vacation Bible School
- Advent/Christmas Program
- Sacramental preparation
- Retreats
- Conferences
- Marriage Seminars.

Duties include publicizing activities, reserving rooms for events, maintaining data related to responsibilities, and providing remote religious education using platforms like Zoom or Teams. The Contractor must also oversee a comprehensive religious education program and ensure effective communication with chapel staff and community members. Key performance objectives include ensuring timely submission of reports and documentation, effective volunteer coordination, compliance with policies and guidance from the Archdiocese for Military Services, and maintaining a minimum work schedule of 80 hours per month.

Period of Performance
The contract consists of a 12-month base period with four (4) 12-month option years and a potential six-month option extension period.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be active, practicing Roman Catholics in good standing with the Church and provide a reference letter from their former pastor. They should have a bachelor's degree or at least one year of experience as a Religious Education Coordinator/Director in Catholic settings. Fluency in oral and written English is required along with administrative skills for producing documents and managing communications. Bidders must also be experienced in publicity creation and distribution through various media channels. Certification as an Archdiocese for Military Services Catechist is required within six months of contract award. Bidders must have at least one year remaining on station to be considered.
