Catholic Music Director, Grand Forks AFB, ND   2

Background
The 319th Reconnaissance Wing Chapel, part of the Department of the Air Force, is seeking a Catholic Praise and Worship Director to provide non-personal services. The goal of this contract is to support the chapel's mission by enhancing worship services through music and volunteer engagement.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:

1. Recruit volunteer musicians and vocalists;
2. Ensure volunteers complete background checks if working with youth under 18;
3. Conduct musical training;
4. Lead rehearsals with a Band and Praise Team to perform current Catholic praise and worship songs;
5. Support the overall Chapel mission by cooperating with leadership, staff, and volunteers;
6. Coordinate with the Catholic Worship Service Chaplain on music selection, providing a song list for review prior to rehearsals;
7. Assemble, rehearse, and lead the Praise Team during worship services;
8. Play music and lead congregation in worship songs;
9. Meet weekly with Chaplains and Praise Team to discuss musical issues;
10. Ensure all volunteers working with youth receive necessary background checks as per DODI guidelines;
11. Arrive at least 30 minutes before rehearsals and services for preparation;
12. Manage pre-event setup and post-event takedown outside of rehearsal time;
13. Notify the Chaplain of any anticipated delays or absences at least seven days in advance, and arrange for qualified substitutes if necessary.

Period of Performance
Base year from July 1st, 2025 to June 30th, 2026, with four option years extending through June 30th, 2030.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at Prairie Rose Chapel on Grand Forks Air Force Base located at 345 Tuskegee Airmen Blvd, Grand Forks AFB, ND 58205.
