The Chelmsford CMOP requires preventive maintenance services to ensure its emergency standby generators operate reliably and continuously, providing critical power backup during outages.

Work Details
The contractor is required to provide preventive maintenance services for two (2) Caterpillar C15 generators. The scope of work includes:
- Quarterly Preventive Maintenance (PM1 and PM2) consisting of three PM1 visits and one PM2 visit annually, following the guidelines specified in the Caterpillar Operation and Maintenance Manual SEBU7909-09 and the Preventive Maintenance Checklist.
- An annual load bank test lasting two hours, with a 500-kW load bank provided by the contractor.
- Extended maintenance tasks every three years as per the guidelines outlined in the Caterpillar Operation and Maintenance Manual. This service will occur in the Base Year (2026) and Ordering Period 3 (2029).
- Replacement of all starting batteries with OEM-approved units during Ordering Period 1 (2027) and Ordering Period 4 (2030).
- Emergency repairs must be addressed within four hours of notification of equipment failure or critical deficiency. If parts need to be ordered, a detailed repair estimate must be provided. If the primary generator goes offline, an equally capable standby unit must be supplied at the contractor's expense.
- All services shall be performed on Saturdays and scheduled with the Contracting Officer Representative (COR). Documentation must comply with NFPA 110 standards and submitted within five business days after each service.
