Background
The U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) is seeking catering services for the Secretary’s 56th Annual Awards Ceremony. The event aims to celebrate distinguished recipients of the Secretary’s Annual Awards, the highest honor and award for DOT employees each year.

Work Details
The contractor is required to provide light refreshments and floral arrangements for the event, including a Presidential Rank Awardee Recognition for approximately 50 people and a reception for 800-950 individuals. The services include preparing and delivering staff, food, utensils, labor, and other necessary equipment, as well as providing floral arrangements.

The contractor must also provide all subsistence and labor required for food preparation, use fresh ingredients, maintain proper food temperatures, provide suitable dishware and silverware, transport food and necessary equipment to the Department of Transportation, and ensure all food served is wholesome and free from spoilage. Additionally, the contractor must provide sufficient staff to deliver, prepare, and serve the required meals while wearing appropriate uniforms. The place of performance is at DOT’s Headquarters in Washington, DC.

Period of Performance
The period of performance is from Wednesday, January 24, 2024 (approximately 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.) for a pre-ceremony walkthrough at the Department of Transportation to Thursday, January 25, 2024 (approximately 11:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.) for completing all work and submitting deliverables.

Place of Performance
The catering services will be performed at DOT’s Headquarters in Washington, DC.
