The purpose of the attached Amendment 1 for RFP N4215824RE001 is to modify the table under Section 4.5 in Factor IV - Price (Volume IV) within 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors - Commercial Items (Addendum).

Background
The solicitation, RFP N4215824RE001, is for Cask Maintenance Services in accordance with the Performance Work Statement within the RFP. The contract is issued by the Navy and pertains to the maintenance and transportation of Navy-owned shielded shipping containers used in support of nuclear submarines and prototype reactors.

Work Details
The contract requires services for the maintenance and transportation of Navy-owned Type A and Type B shielded shipping containers, including routine maintenance, nondestructive examination, installation of low pressure resin catch tanks, load testing, repainting and refurbishment, as well as transportation of the shipping containers. The contractor is also required to have a current Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) license or an agreement state, an NRC-approved Quality Assurance Program, and qualifications/certification to perform Level II nondestructive tests and examinations using magnetic particle, liquid penetrant, and leak test methodologies.

The Contract Period of Performance will be for a base period of twelve (12) months with four (4) twelve (12) month option periods for a total of five (5) years.
