Bidder Requirements
Potential sources must be capable of furnishing all labor, materials, facilities and equipment required to accomplish new manufacture of the listed item(s), including procurement/manufacture of component parts, inspection, testing, preservation/packaging, and shipping serviceable assets; also address lead time parts procurement and diminishing manufacturing/material shortage issues. Potential sources may be responsible for nonrecurring engineering costs associated with becoming an approved source. Qualification requires completion of a Source Approval Request (SAR) package per the item’s Qualification Requirements (QRs); official QRs are available via SAM.gov search for the item keyword. Government will not provide technical data; qualified sources must independently acquire necessary technical data to satisfy the requirement. SAR package submission is electronic via DoD SAFE; if no PKI certificate is available, submit a standard email request to enable a “Request a Drop-Off” so SAR documents can be uploaded to DoD SAFE.
