Description

The Contractor shall provide all personnel, tools, equipment, materials, supervision, administration, labor, and services necessary to purchase, remove, dispose of, maintain, repair, and install carpet and accessories as specified by the government, in a manner that will maintain satisfactory facility conditions and present a neat, clean, and professional appearance. The work will occur in buildings 2245, 2246, 2304 and 8488 on the United States Air Force Academy (USAFA), Colorado. All references to specifications within this Performance Work Statement (PWS) require the use of the most current editions of reference materials.

Background
The United States Air Force Academy (USAFA) in Colorado has a requirement for carpet repair and replacement services. The work will occur in buildings 2245, 2246, 2304, and 8488 on the USAFA premises. The contractor is expected to provide all personnel, tools, equipment, materials, supervision, administration, labor, and services necessary to purchase, remove, dispose of, maintain, repair, and install carpet and accessories as specified by the government.

Work Details
The contractor is required to perform various tasks including general installation requirements, demolition of existing floor covering, surface preparations, job completion clean up, ordering procedures following the United States Air Force Carpet Ordering Guide, disposal of construction material in accordance with federal, state, and local laws. Completed work notification to the Contracting Officer Representative (COR), warranty provisions for both carpet and workmanship under normal use from the date of install or repair for 12 months. Invoicing after completion in Wide Area Work Flow (WAWF), compliance with safety regulations and reporting requirements including OSHA Safety and Health Requirements and accident investigation reports to the Contracting Officer (CO), provision of security, fire and medical services by the USAFA base authorities in case of emergencies or hazards during work operations.

Period of Performance
The estimated period of performance is set to begin in September 2022; firm dates have not yet been determined.

Place of Performance
The work will occur in buildings 2245, 2246, 2304 and 8488 on the United States Air Force Academy (USAFA) premises in Colorado.
