Carolina Beach Inlet Vibracore Services

Background
The contract is issued by the Wilmington District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for the Carolina-Kure Beach Coastal Storm Risk Management (CSRM) project. The mission is to conduct subsurface investigations and geotechnical laboratory testing in the Carolina Beach Inlet area, New Hanover County, North Carolina. Work Details
The Contractor shall provide all services, labor, equipment, supplies, tools, and incidentals necessary to perform vibracore sampling, development of drilling logs, laboratory testing of soils, and other specified services.

The work includes drilling a total of 27 borings: 15 vibracores within the Carolina Beach Inlet Borrow Area and 12 within the adjacent tidal delta. Vibracores will be drilled in 20-foot lengths to depths ranging from 0 ft. to -40 ft. Mean Lower Low Water (MLLW). The Contractor must also maintain a submittal timeline and ensure that all work is completed within 180 days of contract award.

Period of Performance
The contract work is to be completed within 180 days from the date of award.

Carolina Beach Inlet and vicinity, New Hanover County, North Carolina.
