Carnero Stucco Repair Project   2

Background
The Carnero Stucco Repair Project is issued by the USDA Forest Service, aimed at repairing and replacing stucco at the Carnero Guard Station. The project addresses significant damage to existing structures caused by environmental factors such as snow and rain, which have led to issues like cracking and wood rot.

The goal of this contract is to restore the integrity of the building's exterior through comprehensive stucco work.

Work Details
The scope of work includes:
1. Removal of existing security structures on windows;
2. Removal of existing stucco, metal lath, and felt paper, with materials to be disposed of at a landfill;
3. Repairing existing areas that have issues, including replacement of wall framing that has been heavily damaged due to cracking or wood rot;
4. Application of new stucco which involves:
a. Placement of new felt paper;
b. Placement of metal lath with Galvanized Steel Stucco Netting;
c. Placement of scratch coat;
d. Placement of Brown Coat;
e. Placement of Finish Coat.

Period of Performance
The contractor shall begin performance within 14 calendar days and complete it within 20 calendar days after receiving the award and notice to proceed.
