Background
The Carlsbad Field Office (CBFO) in Carlsbad, New Mexico leads the nation’s defense-related transuranic (TRU) waste disposal effort in support of the DOE Environmental Management (EM) mission. The primary mission consists of operating the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP) under the WIPP Land Withdrawal Act, applicable federal and state regulations, and managing the National TRU Program (NTP).

Work Details
The Contractor shall provide various technical assistance services in support to the Carlsbad technical assistance requirements as described in the Section C – Scope of Work. The work includes providing support to CBFO Offices such as Office of the Manager, Office of WIPP, Office of NTP, Office of Business Operations, Office of Program Management, Office of Environmental Protection, and Office of Quality Assurance. The Contractor shall provide executive management support, administrative assistance services support, international repository science program support, general scientific activities support, and workforce restructuring.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a period as specified in individual task orders issued under this IDIQ contract. The primary place of performance is at the Skeen-Whitlock Building in Carlsbad, New Mexico.
