Cargo Loading & Unloading Services for DOE NNSA

The U.S. Department of Energy, National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA), Contracts and Procurement Division has awarded a sole source contract under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 and 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1) to Augusta Regional Airport (ARA) for Cargo Unloading & Loading services in support of the NNSA's Savannah River Site (SRS). ARA has been previously performing the required services to NNSA and it is unique in that it is the only known source that can currently provide the specifications required for loading and unloading at a nearby airport to meet NNSA's requirements. Due the geographical proximity (50 miles of less from SRS), 24 hour operational capability, Tower Control, Runway dimensions (Surface and length, Boeing 737-900 which requires a landing length of 6,800 feet under wet conditions and a takeoff length of 8,000 feet under maximum takeoff weight.), and the serviced not being available through military resources, this stand alone follow on contract is being awarded to ARA. The applicable NAICS is 488119 with a size standard of $35 million.

This Limited Source Justification is being made available to the public in accordance with FAR 6.305(a).
