Cardio Techs

Background
The Regional Health Contracting Office-Central (RHCO-C) is issuing a Request for Information (RFI) on behalf of Brooke Army Medical Center to find potential sources to provide Cardiac Monitor Technician (CMT). This RFI is for information and planning purposes and does not constitute a solicitation announcement or a promise to issue a Request for Quote (RFQ) in the future. The United States Government will use responses to this notice in formulating its acquisition strategy.

Work Details
The Cardiac Monitor Technician (CMT) services required include continuous monitoring of electrocardiograph (EKG) recordings on a central station monitor, admitting and discharging patients from the monitoring equipment, operating complex monitoring equipment, troubleshooting computer malfunctions, communicating system problems with appropriate personnel, collecting, evaluating, and documenting each patient's cardiac rhythm status, recording and identifying changes in the patient's baseline cardiac rhythm, notifying nursing staff of any changes, following guidelines for Cardiovascular Technicians/ Cardiac Monitor Technicians and for cardiac monitoring systems, participating in the orientation process of personnel, nursing reports, patient care conferences, team conferences, discharge planning, unit conferences as deemed appropriate by the head nurse, and mandatory training to meet necessary requirements.
