Background
The project is initiated by the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) to address an emergency requirement for the Canyon Lake Administrative Site in Fort Collins, Colorado. The mission of the USDA includes ensuring the safety and functionality of water supply facilities. This contract aims to repair a suspected failure in the potable water line that has been affecting operations at the site.

Work Details
The scope of work includes leak detection and repair of a suspected potable water line failure. Specific tasks include:
- Conducting leak detection and utility locates.
- Excavating water lines to access the failed section.
- Repairing the failed water line and connections to meet code requirements.
- Testing to confirm successful repairs.
- Backfilling excavated areas and restoring final surfaces, including grading, aggregate/surfacing, and seeding.
- Removing and replacing any obstructions encountered during excavation.
- Repairing any site damage resulting from investigation or repair work. The contractor is responsible for disposing of debris, furnishing all necessary labor, materials, equipment, and ensuring compliance with contract specifications and industry standards while maintaining safety protocols as per OSHA regulations.

Period of Performance
The contractor shall begin performance within 5 calendar days after receiving the award notice to proceed and complete it within 18 calendar days.
