Cany 2024 Le Vehicle Upfitting

Background
The National Park Service (NPS) is issuing a Request for Quote (RFQ) for the upfitting of law enforcement vehicles for Canyonlands National Park, specifically in the Island in the Sky District. The goal of this contract is to replace one GSA leased vehicle with a new vehicle outfitted with police equipment, ensuring it meets the standards required for emergency services.

Work Details
The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to provide LE Vehicle Upfitting. This includes installation of police equipment as outlined in the Statement of Work. The contractor must utilize quality wiring, equipment, metal material, and custom fabrication when integrating law enforcement packages into vehicles. All work performed will adhere to standards established by the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA), Mobile Electronics Certified Professional (MECP), and the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE).

Specific tasks include programming light bar flash patterns and colors to agency standards, ensuring reliability and uniformity by using equipment from the same manufacturer when possible, and configuring programs using a Windows-based computer program.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for this contract is from February 17, 2025, to August 1, 2025. The vehicle upfitting will occur based on the availability of equipment during this timeframe.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed within a 250-mile radius of Moab, Utah. Vehicles will be delivered and picked up from the vendor's location.
