Description

Regionally deliver SW/CS professionally and technically experiencedpersonnel to inspire SW/CS candidates through mentorship and a structured development process. Contracted personnel shall provide Air Force Specialty Code (AFSC) insight and job knowledge to better inform the candidate on their Air Force career choice. Contractor shall provide coaching on nutrition, strength/conditioning training, and mental resiliency as well as set and monitor targeted fitness goals/expectations for the candidates. The candidate development program is aimed to both regionally enhance first-contact with accessions as well as mentally/physically prepare individual candidates for the enduring demands of the SW/CS initial skills training.

Background
The 338 Enterprise Sourcing Squadron (ESS) /Air Force Installation Contracting Center (AFICC) at JBSA-Randolph is issuing the following DRAFT SOLICITATION, FA3002-21-R-0024, for Candidate Development Support Services (CDSS) III. The subject requirement will serve to acquire professionally and technically experienced personnel with life experiences in the Special Warfare and Combat Support (SW/CS) career fields to use their acquired skills to provide guidance on safety, nutrition, physical fitness workout plans, mental resiliency, and use of proper exercise techniques to enhance a candidate's ability to reach their full potential in preparation for the SW/CS career fields. Special Operations is considered the Pararescue (PJ)/Combat Rescue Officer (CRO), Combat Control (CCT)/Special Tactics Officer (STO), Special Operations Weather (SOWT), and Tactical Air Control Party (TACP)/Air Liaison Officer (13L) career fields. Combat Support is considered the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technician (EOD) and Survival, Evasion, Resistance and Escape (SERE) career fields. The 338 ESS anticipates formal release of the Solicitation before 30 Sep 21.

Work Details
The Contractor shall provide USAF Candidate Development Support Services (CDSS) Special Warfare/Combat Support Development Performance Work Statement (PWS) dated 16 Sep 2021. The tasks include providing a CDSS Program Manager with oversight of field developers at recruiting squadrons and wing developers in order to provide overall oversight of contract performance; providing a CDSS Deputy Program Manager to provide oversight of contract performance; CDSS Field Developers shall provide SW/CS subject matter expertise to enhance the accomplishment of Air Force's SW/CS requirements; Contractor will provide physical training and mental development coaching of SW/CS Airmen trainees who are not actively in formal training; specific duties shall be performed IAW PWS dated 14 Sep 2021.
