This is an INDUSTRY DAY ANNOUNCEMENT by SRF-JRMC, NAVSUP FLCY, and CFAY, for Ship and Boat Repair services in support of repair and continuous maintenance of United States Navy Surface Ships for Forward Deployed Naval Forces (FDNF), and CFAY Port Operations. This notice is issued solely for informational and planning purposes and does not constitute a solicitation. The planned industry day serves as a market research tool to inform the industry of the United States (US) Government requirements for ship repair, determine interest, awareness and capabilities for providing those services. The industry day forum will allow for networking and will allow the US Government to assess local industry's interest in participating in upcoming requirements. This event is open to all ship repair service providers authorized to do business in Japan, including existing Master Ship Repair Agreement / Agreement for Boat Repair (MSRA/ABR) holders.
During the event, SRF-JRMC will present information on surface ship maintenance, including workload forecasts and projected workload categories. Following this, CFAY Port Operations will brief tugboat and vessel maintenance requirements. FLCY Ship Repair Team will then cover multiple topics concerning contractual matters. Finally, FLCY Ashore Contracting Team will present information regarding Oily Waste Water (OWW) Treatment Services Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) follow-on Contract.
The presentation focuses on skill requirements, workload projection, and contract strategies. Incumbent Analysis (see Incumbents section for more detail)
This opportunity appears to have a confirmed incumbent based on multiple closely related prior awards to **Sumitomo Heavy Industries**, including the **MASTER SHIP REPAIR AGREEMENT** (N6264921G0002) valued at **$244,627,320** for **08/06/21–08/07/26**, and the **CVN RMMO IDIQ BASE CONTRACT** (N6264921D0006) valued at **$123,558,224** for **06/01/21–05/31/26**. The prior work is centered on ship repair and continuous maintenance for forward-deployed U.S. Navy surface ships at **SRF-JRMC Yokosuka**, including RMMO-related overhauls and modernization efforts for CVNs during scheduled availabilities, which aligns with the current event’s focus on ship repair workload forecasts and contract strategies in Yokosuka.
