This Call for Solution is issued under the Army Open Solicitation W9128Z-25-S-A002.

The U.S. Army Contracting Command Redstone Arsenal, on behalf of the office of the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM), is seeking innovative solutions for Advanced Manufacturing Wire EDM Capability.

The US Army Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM) has a need for accelerated modernization of weapon systems through Advanced Manufacturing (AdvM) technologies that directly address supply chain challenges to underpin readiness. In Accordance With (IAW) Army Regulation (AR) 750-1 (Army Materiel Maintenance Policy), Commanders, U.S. Army Organic Industrial Base (OIB) activities will develop additive and advanced capabilities consistent with Army Materiel Command (AMC) guidance to produce Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) quality parts for use to meet obsolescence and other readiness requirements as required.

AMCOM requires immediate integration of AdvM wire EDM capability at Corpus Christi Army Depot (CCAD) to address critical readiness gaps in aviation maintenance operations. The integration of AdvM wire EDM technology will enable CCAD to rapidly fabricate qualified parts, tools, jigs, fixtures, and ground support equipment. End items required to address the above readiness gap are defined in enclosure 1 of this memorandum.

The deadline to submit questions for Phase 1 is July 02nd, 2026, at 12:00 PM Central Daylight Time (CDT).

Background
The U.S. Army Contracting Command – Redstone Arsenal, on behalf of the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM), is seeking innovative solutions for Advanced Manufacturing Wire EDM Capability to accelerate modernization of weapon systems and address supply chain challenges.

This initiative aims to develop advanced capabilities consistent with Army Materiel Command (AMC) guidance to produce OEM quality parts for readiness requirements.

Work Details
AMCOM requires immediate integration of two (2) advanced manufacturing Wire EDM systems at Corpus Christi Army Depot (CCAD). The solutions must include shipping costs, onsite installations, heavy equipment handling, ancillary equipment, operating software, warranties, a turn-key consumable package, training for up to five personnel over four days, and ongoing technical support.

The specifications for the Wire EDM systems are as follows:
- Build Envelope: Minimum 21.65 in. x 13.77 in. x 15.75 in.
- Build Accuracy: +/- 0.00007 in.
- Power Requirements: 3-phase 208/220/240/380/440/480 VAC, 60 Hz.
- Operating System: Uniqua HMI with Windows 10 - 64 bit, i7 Quad Core processor.
- Compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations.
- Capability to cut conductive materials such as steel, titanium, brass, aluminum, and copper.
