California Region Seismic Study Reports Services

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is seeking a contractor to provide Seismic Study Reports for the VA Seismic Program in the California Region. The purpose of the contract is to advise the VA Seismic Program on buildings with seismic deficiencies for the purpose of seismic risk identification and mitigation program planning. The contract is a GSA Federal Supply Schedule, 541330 ENG category procurement and is a 100% Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) set aside.

The contractor will develop seismic study reports focusing on Directive 7512 qualifying Critical and Essential buildings in California. The work includes evaluating and identifying seismic deficiencies, proposing conceptual retrofit schemes, estimating conceptual/order of magnitude seismic mitigation costs, and preparing an overall summary report and individual building reports. The contractor shall plan necessary site visits to each VA Medical Center as needed to research and accomplish the task order. The deliverables shall be four submissions (30%, 60%, 90%, and Pre-final) of all documents. Technical criteria include relevant experience in seismic studies of VA buildings, team qualifications, schedule, capability to perform, and past performance.

The Period of Performance for the contract is 730 calendar days from the date of award. The geographic location(s) for the contract performance will be at various VA Medical Centers in California including Long Beach, San Francisco, West Los Angeles, Sepulveda, Loma Linda, Menlo Park, Palo Alto, San Diego, Martinez, Sacramento, and Fresno.
