Calibration of Lab Equipment at the FSIS Eastern Lab

Background
The Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) is issuing this Request for Quotation (RFQ) to establish a firm fixed price maintenance agreement for the calibration of laboratory equipment.

The goal of this contract is to ensure that the equipment used at the FSIS Eastern Lab in Athens, Georgia, is properly calibrated to maintain operational standards and compliance.

Work Details
The contractor will provide calibration services for the following laboratory equipment at the FSIS Eastern Lab: 30 centrifuges, 5 vortexes, and 1 tachometer.

The services are required for a base year with options for additional years. The contractor must ensure that all calibrations meet industry standards and provide documentation of the calibration results. Specific tasks include:
- Calibration of 30 centrifuges
- Calibration of 5 vortexes
- Calibration of 1 tachometer
- Provision of calibration certificates and reports upon completion of services.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for the base year is from September 3, 2026, to September 2, 2027. There are options for additional years extending through September 2, 2031.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at the FSIS Eastern Lab located at 950 College Station Rd., Athens, GA 30605.

Bidder Requirements
This solicitation is set aside for small businesses. Additionally, bidders may need to demonstrate relevant experience in calibrating laboratory equipment and possess any necessary certifications or licenses related to calibration services.
