Background
The contract involves the removal of material from within the Calcasieu River Ship Channel, the Clooney Island Loop Channel, and the turning basing at mile 36.0 of the main channel, as well as satisfactory disposal within the designated Confined Disposal Facilities adjacent to the Calcasieu River and Pass. Optional work includes removal of material from within Devil’s Elbow, the A4 Turning Basin, and reaches from the main channel.
The work also includes retention dike construction, surveys, and optional ditching and draining of disposal areas.
