Cafe Del Monte Companion Project, Part II   2

This is a firm fixed-price (FFP) design-build construction project which encompasses asphalt removal and replacement, bollard replacement, replacement of curbing, changes to parking area striping and additional stalls, signage, and painting of road markings, traffic lines, and curbs.

There is one (1) exercised optional item.

Option Item One (1): Provide lighting along Butler Road (one-way lane), and install light fixture/pole to match the Caf Del Monte Companion Part I project.

This is a FFP construction contract action which was not awarded competitively. The requirement was set-aside as a HUBZone sole-source, Authorized by Statute in accordance with FAR 6.302-5(a)(2)(i). The Contracting Team determined competing this requirement would not be advantageous, given the urgency to award this requirement prior to 15 August 2022. Additionally, for purposes of continuity (given Mountain Methods, Inc. performed Part I of this construction project) and timeliness, a sole-source to MMI was in the best interests of the Government.
