Cable Television (CATV) for SSA Headquarters FY25

Background
The Social Security Administration (SSA) is issuing this solicitation for the renewal of a service agreement for Community Access Television (CATV) port distribution system at its Headquarters located in Woodlawn, Maryland. The agency's mission includes providing real-time local and national programming to its personnel, which is critical for monitoring news events that affect the agency's operations. The current CATV services are proprietary to Comcast, and it is believed that only Comcast can fulfill the requirements outlined in this solicitation.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for providing analog cable television services to all buildings within the SSA Headquarters Campus. This includes:
1. Distribution of analog CATV throughout the HQ Campus.
2. Ongoing and preventative maintenance for all services provided over the contractor’s cable system distribution.
3. Support for upgrading service from analog to digital on a building-by-building basis.
4. Installation acceptance and general maintenance, including emergency service repair and preventative maintenance.
5. Compliance with Electronic Code of Federal Regulations regarding cable TV service distribution.
6. Provision of a minimum channel lineup including major networks such as ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX, and various news channels.

Period of Performance
The contract period will be from April 14, 2025, to April 13, 2026.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at the Social Security Administration Headquarters Campus located at 6401 Security Boulevard, Baltimore, Maryland 21235.
