Background

Work Details
The project involves designing a recently vacated area of approximately 15,000 square feet that will be integrated with the first phase of the clinic.

Key tasks include:
- Designing group rooms, administrative offices, clinical offices that double as counseling rooms, public restrooms, and a staff break room.
- Preparing all design and construction documentation including advance planning, design development, detailed construction documents, and final as-built drawings.
- Ensuring compliance with VA standards and current codes for mechanical, plumbing, electrical, fire protection, and life safety systems.
- Conducting site investigations to verify existing conditions and incorporating findings into the design.
- Developing a construction plan that minimizes disruption to ongoing patient care in an active medical facility.
- Providing multiple deductive bid items into the construction documents to allow for budget flexibility while ensuring functionality.
- The A/E firm must include licensed/registered specialty disciplines such as Architect, Medical Planner, Structural Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Fire Protection Engineer, Life Safety Engineer, Plumbing Engineer, Interior Designer, Communication (voice & data), Electrical Engineer, and Cost Estimator with relevant experience.

Period of Performance
The anticipated time for completion of design is estimated at 310 calendar days after award/notice to proceed.
