The Architect/Engineer (A/E) shall provide construction documents, specifications, and additional project requirements as outlined within the Scope of Work. Value engineering is encouraged and shall be noted at each design review. The project will include but is not limited to evaluation of existing site conditions and as-built documentation, comprehensive phasing, and interim measures, architectural, mechanical, fire protection, electrical, plumbing, water treatment (softener, carbon filters, deionization, reverse osmosis), controls, communications, hazardous material identification and abatement, interior design and finishes, and other required utilities and systems necessary for compliance. Design and construction shall adhere to all applicable VA guidance, standards, and directives. Construction shall be phased to minimize disruptions to the operations of the medical center.
